Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee removed his Oct. 6 tweet that appeared to support Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, after months of controversy over the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments.

«Kanye. Elon. Trump,» read the tweet, which showed the rapper alongside Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter who has been bringing back once-banned right-wing figures, and former President Donald Trump.

The tweet was deleted Thursday as Ye was launching a lengthy anti-Semitic tirade during an appearance on InfoWars, hosted by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, known for promoting falsehoods about events such as the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting.

«I love the Jews, but I also love the Nazis,» Ye said on the show on Thursday. He also repeatedly expressed his admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee did not immediately return a request for comment on the deleted tweet. The Republican Party, currently in the minority, won control of the chamber in the November midterm elections.

Ye began garnering more attention among some conservatives in early October after she presented a show at Paris Fashion Week that featured a «white lives matter» T-shirt.

The day after the House Judiciary Committee Republicans tweet, Ye posted a since-deleted post on Instagram where he said he would go «death with 3about the Jewish people.

The tweet stuck around then, and ever since, when Ye doubled down on his anti-Semitic comments in other interviews. In that time, Ye also lost lucrative deals with companies like Gap and Adidas.

On November 22, Trump agreed to have dinner with Ye at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. What was supposed to be a quiet dinner between the two men turned into a public relations nightmare for Trump, who recently announced his 2024 run for president when Ye brought along white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

Trump has stated that he did not know Fuentes or his views when he met with him, but did not apologize for meeting with him or Ye.

In a statement Thursday, leaders of the Republican Jewish Coalition called Ye’s appearance on InfoWars «a horrific cesspool of dangerous and intolerant Jewish hate.»

“Conservatives who have wrongly coddled Kanye West need to make it clear that he is an outcast,” the organization’s national president, former Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota, and executive director Matt Brooks said in a statement. «Enough is enough.»
