One of the greatest glories of Chilean soccer, Iván Zamorano, is going through a delicate financial situation as a result of three lawsuits against him for unpaid debts.
The appeals filed by the banks Itaú, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI) and Santander Chile against the former Chilean soccer player and his business companies increased to more than US$3.3 million.
The latter filed a civil action on Tuesday against one of the best soccer players in the history of Chile for not paying commitments since June of this year.
Justice has already seized the residence where Zamorano lives, another of his homes, a deposit, his private car and two of his bank accounts.
As reported by the Chilean newspaper «El Mercurio», all the properties that could be confiscated in Chile were seized from Zamorano, something that did not affect the popular sports complex that he inaugurated in 2002, since it is located on municipal land.
Another medium, «La Tercera», developed that the former Real Madrid and Sevilla player in Spain had already had to «sell part of his assets and the properties acquired by two of the companies they represent: the firms of Inca Sociedad de Inversiones Limitada and the Sociedad de Inversiones Santa Alicia Limitada».
problems with business

On that occasion, the owner of the health center that operated in the Ciudad Deportiva, Juan Rodolfo Ulloa Vilarín, accused the former soccer player of breach of contract in an arbitration claim that was filed with the Santiago Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Chamber of Commerce. .
The case ended in April 2013. Zamorano was convicted and had to pay Ulloa $300,000.
In fact, it is his sports city that has generated many financial problems for Zamorano.
