Tyler Adams said that there is something that worries him more than England.

Ahead of the highly anticipated US Men’s National Team game against England, Adams shared what really scares him: spiders.

Although the odds favor England against the USA, and the Americans are coming off a 1-1 draw against Wales, the Arachnids continue to top Adams’ list of concerns.

Adams knows his team will face a big test against England, but he’s not going into the game afraid.

«England are still a great team at the end of the day, but the intimidation factor? I wouldn’t say there are many things that intimidate me besides the spiders,» he said. «So it’s fine for me, but obviously I have to play against all these great players, so I’ve done it before.»

«But we also want to show what we’re capable of and that American soccer is developing and growing in the right way.»

Adams said he and his teammates don’t care that they aren’t seen as favorites.

«I think in a lot of games people would probably say we’re the underdog, but we wear it proud,» Adams said. «It means nothing to us to be underdogs, to be favorites.»

The midfielder added that he has respect for England and realizes what a great opportunity the United States has on Friday.

«Obviously it’s a great opportunity to accelerate the impact that we can have. These are the games, a lot of pressure, a prime moment, to step on the field against some of these guys. We respect them, and there’s probably mutual respect between them.» both teams. And when you get a result in a game like this, people start to respect the Americans a little bit more.»
